The question of how pressure reduction improves sleep is OK. The problem was, it was imbedded in a series of other postings that were focused on changing cpap pressures.
Reason's a reduction in pressure could help:
1. If you are getting more pressure than you need, it might cause central apneas and also may make the work of breathing more difficult.
2. Too little pressure and you can still have apneas.
3. Having the proper pressure is important and should be done under medical supervision. It is not as simple as making a change and seeing how you feel the next morning. During any night you may have leaks which could make you think you need more pressure.
It can get complicated unless it is done under medical supervision.
