Do you mean like has anyone actually died as a direct result of OSA other than auto accidents?
If so, the answer is an overwhelming yes. I'll try to find the exact stats and sites and send them. But from what I remember from testimony to the National Commission on Sleep Disorders Research - in early 1990's data, the estimate was several thousand a year just from fatal cardiac arrythmias (sudden cardiac death) caused by OSA. Then of course you have your routine heart attacks, strokes, blood clots to the lungs, etc. Add in sveral thousand deaths per year from these, all directly attributable to OSA. If you add in secondary cause and effect like hypertension, CAD, etc. you're talking in the tens of thousands a year.
