Shelle, I've been on CPAP for 1 year now. I have had no colds or ear infections for the entire year, I normally have trouble with this sort of thing all winter and allergy problems in the fall and spring. I really think the micro filter system in my CPAP is the reason I have been much healthier along with the increase of my health from getting a good nights sleep.

As far as your mask is concerned i really think your making it to tight. The mirage and Ultra Mirage masks are designed to float on your face. The CPAP should be turned on then the mask fitted. If the the only way your Mirage fits is to put it on as as tight as you are putting it on then I feel that it is the wrong size. I have a Mirage and an Ultra Mirage, they are both very comfortable and fit well.

Good Luck and stick with the CPAP
