I've had back problems for 24 years and they are better since I started CPAP. I think it is the increased oxygen getting to the muscle tissue and the decrease in fatigue. You may have injured your back three weeks ago. Did you do heavy housework? Help a friend move furniture? Yard work? That old yard work can really strain those back muscles. I'd get to the doctor for the requistite x-rays etc. Four weeks of back pain is no joke. Muscle relaxants, Darvocet, Vicodan and/or Motrin, applied heat and cold. May not cure you but can minimize pain.
