Some optometrists charge for the "puff" test and some don't. The "puff" (yes, even we call it that) is only a screening. You would also need to have the visual fields tested and a dialated exam to confirm a diagnosis of glaucoma. There are different types of glaucoma also. If you suspect or are worried about developing glaucoma a visist to your eye care professional is in order. Glaucoma does run in families so if there is a family history all the more reason to call the doctor.
