Still waking up

Same for me after 7 months, Tankster old sport. I call 'em frags (short for fragmentations) - 1 or 2 a night. Darn nuisance especially when you can't get back to zzzzz easily. But, in my case, the frags are getting shorter and less problematic.

Why does it happen? Initially, at 17 cm I seemed to be blowing as much air into my stomach as into my lungs and the pain was waking me up. That eased with time. But, perhaps more significantly, after many years of interrupted sleep it's probably going to take the body a while to return to a more even and uninterrupted pattern. I don't know that it's 'normal' to frag. My view is that starting on CPAP is a road back to normal sleep and that it's a fairly long journey.
