Capnometer - Anyone have one??

Posted by NikkiNet on September 10, 2000 at 16:46:05:

My doctors have lately determined that a home capnometer would benfit me greatly. A capnometer measures the amount of CO2. However, we have been unable to find one for home use, and the doctors are reluctant about giving me a hospital-made model. They said you have to have special training to work it. Does anyone out there know of a capnometer for home use? I never trust my DME supplier. They tell me they dont have things ALL the time (When I know they do, because its a monthly-order hhehe). If anyone has one, do you think it has benifits? Im so tired of going in to the hospital to see if my CO2 is ok. They are also trying to figure out if there is a link between my high co2, and tiredness or if the tiredness is from lack of o2. They also want to see if my seizures are from too much co2. It would greatly help if I could get one of these machines. Please let me know if you know of a place that has them for sale for HOME use. THANKS!!!
