Jo, I think that if someone is receptive to hearing our feedback about our concerns that they might have sleep apnea, then it's great that we can be a source of information and support to them if they choose to pursue diagnosis and treatment.

I belive my ex has apnea - I've heard the interruptions in breathing and the rescue gasp for air - but she wants nothing to do with my feedback (amply given when we were still together). So I believe I have fulfilled my obligation, and now it's up to her to take action. I reminds me of many other situations when we see someone we love doing something self-destructive and we give them honest feedback. It may still worry or harm us to stay close to them, but we can't do it for them. Sigh.
