Back pain with CPAP therapy

Posted by Pat in Seattle on October 21, 1998 at 00:26:46:

I'm in my second month with CPAP therapy, and have been having a problem with lower back pain. I know it may be because of moving around less, due to sleeping more deeply, but is that the only reason? My doctor says he's never heard of that as a side effect. After about seven hours, my back pain gets to the point where I have to get up and move around. I've tried pillows under my knees, and pillows to each side, but that doesn't help. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?
