I've had the same experience when it comes to "recognizing" others with apnea or exhibiting symptoms. There have been many times when I've "casually" mentioned apnea in a conversation with someone only to have them say.."Oh!! You too?". It's almost like there is some kind of "radar" that kicks in once you've experienced the condition. *grin* Hard to explain.

I think there may be a "slow-moving" breakthrough with the friend I'm so concerned about and it goes along with your comment about showing positive changes. My friend calls often and the last couple of times he's said...."You certainly sound 'chipper'..." He's noticed the increase in energy (however small - we count baby steps here too!) and it will, hopefully, encourage him!

Oh!! Almost forgot....AMEN!!!
