As a newly diagnosed apneac but a long time sufferer, I agree you should go see a doctor about your chest pain. However, I'd seek advice from your Sleep Clinic as to WHICH doctor.
I have suffered chest pains and arrhythmias for years and have been in the emergency room several times, in the hopital overnight and complained to doctors about the pain. None of them associated it to a sleep disorder and dismissed it as anxiety or gas. Looking back I'm angry about it. As you probably are aware, most M.D.s and shrinks are totally in the dark about the signs of apnea and it's consequences. In my case I belong to a managed care group associated with one of the best teaching hospitals in the country. to keep cost down they use interns as their first line of defense. You really have to assert yourself to get anywhere. That's why I suggest starting with at least a recomendation from your sleep clinic.
