Posted by Annie on September 26, 2000 at 12:07:39:I'm on my third mask now in three months still trying to get comfortable and get some sleep. I use Bipap and 1. Adam Pillows that give me sores in my nose after 1-2 nights use; 2. Simplicity mask that either leaks or is too tight; 3. Profile Lite gel mask that either leaks or gives me pressure sores/pimples/headaches or other when tight enough to avoid the leaks.
So I had an idea for some type of medical grade adhesive that would help keep the mask in place. I've tried two double stick tapes, one off the shelf, one medical grade and the medical grade works better and almost ruins the gel as well. The best I've tried so far is the gel/adhesive from a tens pad. I'd like to obtain this gel in larger pieces if possible but don't know where to get it. My tens pads are rather small so my test isn't good yet. Any suggestions on a safe adhesive that won't ruin the gel?
