Since Somnoplasty is a very new procedure and is only just now being accepted by HMO's, its going to be hard to find anyone who can speak to its long term results. I had it done on my upper palate last January and was supposed to have it done on my nose turbinates and my tongue last July until my HMO backed off on paying. I looked at it like a kind of guinea pig mentality. I am willing to take the 1500 dollar chance to find out if it works long term. My sinuses were not freindly with the cpap and I cant just go untreated, so putting my money on the somno wasnt that hard. I found a great ENT but he is not on the plan!! He has great confidence in the somnoplasty procedure actually curing mild apnea, so that was good enough for me!!

Good luck,
Kevin
