I have no depth perception and have no problem with driving. Most people who have depth perception have no concept that people can do normal things, like driving, without it. I can't count how many times I have been asked how I can drive. There is no way to explain it. Might as well explain Picasso to the blind. I don't know how depth perception works and you don't know how I perceive relative distance. But, It works. Granted, I had no chance of being a professional ball player or a fighter pilot, but I was twenty one before I realized that there was a significant difference to the way my sight worked. I simply did not know that there was a limitation to my sight. I learned other ways to do things that most people depend on depth perception to do for them. If you lose and eye, you would have a long adjustment period. But, eventually you would be able to do all the things that I do. Including driving.
