Hi Breezin',

How long have you been on CPAP?

I have been on for a little over a month now, and the sore neck is starting to get better. Like you I have tried to adjust the straps looser and gotten leaks, especialy when I turn on my side.

I think that the major reason for the sore neck is that the muscles in your neck attach to the skull right at that point. The elastic bands are pressing on the tendons & ligamints cutting off blood flow & pressing on the nerves at that point. I'm hoping that just like the loose teeth that started tightning up, that the back of my neck will toughen up :-)

I was taking Ibuprophen, to knock down the discomfort, but I've given that up lately.

All-in-all, I'll take the head aches, sore necks, loose teeth, and other discomforts of being a "Hose Head", for the benefit of being a functioning person again. :-)

Will
