The first week I was on CPAP I thought my machine was doing this too. So I built a very cheap manometer and checked the preasure. It turned out that the machine was OK. I was just imagining that it was going up and down.

Your machine might be broken for all I know. If you want to check it out, you can search forum 39 or 38 for "manometer", to see how to build one for a couple of bucks. If it turns out your CPAP is all over the place with its preasure you might need to contact your DME for a replacement.
