Hi Will,

I've been on CPAP just over a year, about 13 months to be exact, and I have been pretty much fully compliant (except for that rare head cold where I cannot breath through my nose very well). I used to post on this forum all the time, but I took a few months off and am now starting to become a regular reader and will probably post more often. It seems that there is more of a need to get information initially, and this forum is so active that I felt kind of "redundant" and just sort of stopped posting. This forum has been so helpful to me that I have decided to become a little bit more active going forward.

Anyway, like you, I too would never trade my post-CPAP self with my pre-CPAP self. Even for me as a mild apneic the benefits are unbelievable, very noticable. Plus, the added benefit that my wife now sleeps in OUR bed, not on the couch or in the guest room, heh heh.

Regarding the neck pain, I wonder why the right side doesn't hurt at all. It's only the left side. I thought it was positionally related so I'd sleep on my right side, slightly upright, and flat on my back, but the symptoms never changed. I really noticed the pain when I got my Ultra Mirage mask. I don't recall the pain with my other Mirage nasal mask. It must be the headgear. I never got neckache with my Adam's circuit (nasal pillows), but I don't like the noseplugs in my nose so I don't wear it anymore. I may try to switch back to my headgear from my old Mirage and see if that helps. Not sure if I can do that tho, and I really like the quick-release tabs on the Ultra that make it so easy to unhook in a jiffy.

Take care,

Breezin'
