Posted by Visa on October 10, 2000 at 17:26:38:I am a newbie to this, For the past few years I have occasionally woke up at night thinking I was choking on something. It seems to be getting worse as time goes by. It only happens maybe once a month. Sometimes 3 times a night. Sometimes only every three months but when it happens. I jump out of bed gasping for air. It may take up to 5-10 seconds before I can breath after awaking. Last night it happened and after I was breathing again I had vomit in my mouth. That has never happened before. Is this apnia or something else. I am not over weight. 30 years old. Smoker. non-drinker. Snorer. I am afraid to go to sleep cause I think this will be the cause of my death eventually...
