sleeping limbs

Posted by Goodnight Girl on October 11, 2000 at 09:12:47:

Last night my 21mo old had trouble and ended up in my bed. The older kids have seen my FF mask on but I don't like for the younger ones to be in bed with my gear on (preventing nightmares for the tots!). We both fell asleep without my mask on and 2 hours later I woke up with a suffocation dream; I was in a grave and they were putting dirt on me and had reached my face and I was trying to get air. I woke with a JERK (not my hubby :~D) and was short of breath and pulse racing. My arm was completely numb and took minutes to "fill" and have feeling again. I have noticed that I have been waking at times with "sleeping limbs", but hadn't really associated it with the OSA until last night.
Does anyone else have this problem and do you think it is related. Also, does anyone else have the suffocation dreams? I have them worse when I am pregnant, but NOT when I am using CPAP. There are very few times I don't use it but if I have a sick child in my bed, or when I had a bad cold, I found I would have these dreams. Isn't it all a mystery!??!
