See your doctor and get a Rx for a sleep test. Go to the hospital that does the sleep tests and talk to them about your lack of insurance. See if they will take small monthly payments. In many states the county government is responsible for indigent medical care not paid for by insurance. Talk to the hospital and the county about this. The last resort may be to get the treatment and equipment you need and then claim a medical bankruptcy. Not an ideal situation but better then losing your loved one to apnea!

See about a "Split night study" in which the first part of the sleep study establishes you have apnea and the second half they titrate your CPAP pressures. This costs about half as much as two seperate studies.
