Recently in various bookstores I have seen what look like well-written and responsible self-help books on allergies and their impact on various parts of the body.I own two such books and both discuss food allergies and the nose, although both say that pollens etc are more likely. One says "Staples - dairy products, eggs, wheat, yeats and sugar are the most common food allergies linked to chronic nasal rhinitis. Potatoes, tomatoes, perrers, corn, nuts, citrus and soy are next. ... there is a strong tendency for people with food allergies to become allergice to the foods they eat most." It says that the impact is often quite delayed. I know that in food allergy studies about 5 days is allowed for foods to have an impact as each one is introduced.
I'm sure there is much information on the web if you search for "food allergies" plus "rhinitis" (Rhinitis, you probably know, is inflammation of the nasal lining).
