Tiggaroo,
I can't believe your allergist told you that you can't have a reaction from food.I have had allergies for thirty five years and it could be very serious. I have taken shots twice a week and goned to emergency rooms from reactions to foods, preservatives in food, medication and also weeds and grass in other words the enviroment.
If you have severe allergies you have a big problem. It is very hard to find what what you are allergic to, I keeped a record of what I had eaten trying to find what was causing it.I did not have the same reaction every time to the same food I had eaten. In my case I would have a reaction from food and medicatiom within 30 min to 2 hours later.I have carried medication to counter act the allergies attack. When claritin and the steriod nasal sprays came out that took care of the weeds and grass problem most of the time.Yes the amount of food you eat could cause a reaction, and then you could eat the same thing again with no reaction it is a a very serious problem .I have had my lips and tongue swell you could break out in a rash are hives and itching. If you have allergies I hope it is not a severe case.
Good Luck!
Johnny
