I was speaking with someone who said he didn't like split studies such as the one you describe - half the night without and half with CPAP. He is an extremely opinionated person and we know that translates ti his need to be right. I had no problem with my sleep study. From studying my sleep study graphs, it appears that the techs had sufficient time to study my sleep patterns and to titrate my pressure. You know what they say about opinions, they're like the orifice of the backside, everyone has one. I would be more blunt but Sandman would edit it, LOL. If you return to snoring or feel fatigued and sleepy, again, during the day - then you require a pressure adjustment. You doc will be able to arrange for that via another study.
