SHORTNESS OF BREATH AFTER USING CPAP

Posted by BABY JANE on February 07, 2001 at 11:33:35:

I got a F&P heated humidifier which has helped my congestion considerably. However, I still am experiencing shortness of breath when I awaken. This only happens when I use the CPAP! Has anyone experienced this side effect from using CPAP? I wonder if I do a lot of mouth breathing during sleep(?)and I don't always keep the mask on. I will awaken sometimes in the AM and apparently have taken the mask off during sleep as I am a very restless sleeper.

Thanks for any suggestions.
