My suggestion is this: IF you get sores and they are severe (you can see them, or they are raw and open) then something is wrong with your setup and you need to adjust the gear, get different sized nasal pillows, etc.

If your nares are just mildly sore the first night or so, then it is probably just caused by not being used to the pillows. Try putting a dab of KY jelly or Ayr gel on the pillows at bedtime for a couple of nights.

Because you ordered CPAPMAN's custom setup, you should have little problem, as he includes all the parts you need for a comfortable fit.

I would recommend hanging the hose over your head from a small bungee cord or rubber band hooked to the headboard, wall, or even the ceiling. This takes the weight off the hose and keeps it from pulling the gear around on your face. This minimizes problems, including sore nares.

Don't assume you will have any sores at all. I had only the very mildest sore nose after the first night, and did nothing about it. Went away the next night.
