I agree with Jeff... do not pay! I have a friend who works for a major health insurance company, plus have talked to many staff persons regarding medial insurance coverage. The reason that DME suppliers and dr. offices, labs, etc. try to bill you the extra portion that the insurance doesn't pay (after your copay, of course) is because...

sometimes patients WILL pay the bill!!!

Don't get sucked in. They make extra money this way off unsuspecting patients. Tell them insurance has paid their portion, you have paid your copay, and they should write off the rest. Wait for them to write off the rest. It may take a while.
