Thanks for the reminder of the papers that they had me sign. Its been a few years and I guess I forgotten about them. I need to try and find them now to see what they say.

I did speak to Insurance Co (Customer Service) and they told me they paid them for mask and that this Company is a participating provider so that they have to take what is given to them as payment in full. They told me that an explanation of benefits would be to me in the mail and I do plan on sending a letter to the DME stating what the insurance company sent me.

My concern is now how do I find a DME that will work with me on my needs and be honest! This DME did not tell me about other masks and machines because they knew I would be using the insurance so they issue only equipment that is covered by the insurance and what they can make money off of.

I heard that the insurance company may be getting out of paying for hoses and masks and I would like to know how I can get someone to tell me if this is true (Customer Service at the insurance company blew me off when I asked that) I also wanted to know how much they are paying for items such as hoses and masks so that if they do decide to drop from policy then I have a gage to determine what kind of cost for this equipment is reasonable.

Another thing I would like to put out is how does one find out what Medicare covers? I am not there yet but would like the information before I get there so that I know the rules. Is there a pamplet that they give you with the guide lines? How does one obtain this? This might be helpful with dealing with the insurance companies right now when they starting quoting the medicare guidelines. Funny they have information and you do not!
