Debbie:

You ask some good questions, and I wish I had a good answer. Unfortunately, Insurance companies, DME's, and their relatinships between each other and between us the patient are interesting (to say the least). There is little uniformity and things change from month to month.

I sympathize with you. You might try checking with the state insurance commission to find out what your rights actually are (they usually have some brochures they will send you), and shopping around the DME choices you do have in the area.

Many have found that they get the best service from Internet providers -- Conjo Joe (the CPAP Man) is a great example. The only question is, will your insurance co pay their fair share if you order from internet suppliers.

Best Luck,

Perry
