Makes sense to me. What a great way to cut down on claims. If the patients stands a risk of having to pay the total cost, fewer procedures will be done since most of us are risk averse. Cuts down on claim payments, paper work, and staff making BC more profitable. And given our experience in getting them to pay for stuff now really inspires confidence. Sounds like Catch-22 to me. Who said insurers were stupid? My question is why do they think we are? Time to call the California Insurance Commision!!
