CPAP does not make colds worse or somehow magically turn them into respiratory infections. Cold viruses are generally self-limiting, unless your body defenses are weakened by other causes (such as not using your CPAP). Humidity from a CPAP humidifier can keep the airways moist and allow the body's natural defenses to work better on colds -- and make you feel better.

Ask your RT exactly how the use of CPAP makes colds turn into respiratory infections. Then post it here.
