I feel the only way you are going to know for sure is to have a sleep study done. You may have to push your family doctor about it. He maybe reluctant but be sure to be very up front with him about your symptoms too. You also might want to take the sleep test that is on this web site.
Good luck and don't take no for answer for you deserve answers. If all else fails, find another doctor who will listen.
