I used Flonase for some time, straight. It ate away the mucous membrane in my nose. Another ENT suggested I lightly coat the inside of my nose (where the mucous membrane was gone, especially) with petroleum jelly, then squirt in 3 sprays (each side) of saline, then do the Flonase. Eventually, I quit using the Flonase. I get acupuncture for the rhinitis, and use saline spray when my nose starts to stuff up (along with the CPAP humidifier and a room humidifier).
