I was diagnosed with a "small" hitial(?) hernia about three years ago, and had reflux. I am 6'4' and 210 lbs, not overweight. Since I have been on CPAP about three months, I have had no reflux problem at all. I have no scientific evidence but am personally convinced that the apnea caused the hernia. It would seem reasonable that the years of struggling to breathe every night could have caused this muscular distortion.
