I am a diagnostic imaging tech (I work in Radiology and Ultrasound), I also have OSA and have suffered from GERD in the past. I think that in some cases OSA can contribute to GERD but you must remember that if you looked at 100 overweight individuals most of them would have GERD. It just goes with being overweight. I am 60# over and I know my diet is the main part of my reflux. If I give up coffee and greasy foods my reflux is gone!
