Sore inside tip of nose!

Somehow I've acquired what seems to be an open sore about 1/2 inch inside the tip of my nose at the top. It is right where the top of the nasal passage curves and seems to be some kind of split in the flesh. It really stings whenever I touch the outside of the nose at that point, but doesn't hurt otherwise, even when I blow my nose. I've had it for a few days now and it doesn't seem to be going away. I use a heated humidifier so don't think it's from drying and splitting during the night.

Anyone had this experience or have recommendations on this? I haven't put anything on it yet such as polysporin, but am considering doing that. What do you think?
