I have had problems with the nasal pillows rubbing the cartilage in my nose and a burning pain near the top of my nostril similar to you. I've found that putting Anbesol or some other "toothache medicine" inside my nostril prior to putting on the nasal pillows stops the pain enough to get to sleep. Good Luck
