Thanks for an encouraging report, and congratulations on your success. Just a note--I recently started using the Ultra Mirage and do not have difficulty with the straps riding on or near my ears. The main part of the head gear (where all of the straps converge) sits down low on the back of my neck. I get good clearance of the straps both above and below the ears. Have you tried shifting the back of the head gear lower to the neck?
