Posted by dreamsearcher on June 09, 2001 at 18:20:42:I have been using a CPAP (Remstar LX) and the Breeze with the pillows since October (set to 8).
I recently switched to an Autoset T (ins. co paid for regular CPAP). I really like the Autoset T, but found it hard to catch my breath right after I put it on for the night. After reading a number of posts here, I decided it was from rebreathing of stale air. So to increase the flow rate, I enlarged the exhalation port - this worked great!
So I am using the following settings: 3M tubing setting with 2M of tubing( since there is about 12" of thinner tubing and the reduction fitting);
The Mirage mask (I think it has a higher leakage?);
autostart (which both starts and stops, although it does register as a hypopenia and/or high leak.);
and 4 (min) 15 (max) - with the new flow rate, the Autoset was hitting the 4.4 floor I had set...
