I suffer with OSA, but have been on my CPAP for about 4 months. I am single, but I know that I snored so loudly before that I woke myself up. A friend also confirmed my snoring. When I was tested with the CPAP, my technician told me my snoring had drastically decreased. And, I don't wake up anymore in the middle of the night, so I must not be snoring like before.
The only thing you will need to get used to once your partner gets his CPAP is the gentle whurr of the machine. It actually resembles white noise and helps me to fall asleep faster.
Hang in there...
