DreamSearcher:

I am a bit confused by your description. If you are using a Mirage mask, why do you have extra stuff on the hose.

However, In general; the AutoSet T is desinged to be used with Resmed specific accessories and the settings are to make the AutoSet T work properely with them. Often people use other equipment and few have problems with this. However, the farther away you get the settings the more likelyhood you have of having problems beyond just the fact that the reported pressure and mask leaks will be off slightly. Personally, I can't immagine why you would use a 3m setting for a 2m hose.

My other though is that probably your biggest problem is in set-up. 4-15 is probably two large of range for the machine to work properely assuming that you need that 15. It takes time for the machine to ramp up, and no AutoCPAP will respond fast enough if its base pressure is too low. What most people have found that works is a range of 4 (+/-). Your Max should be your prescribed pressure unless your Dr specifically autorizes it higher (which is usefull in some cases - talk to you Dr). Thus, my suggestion is to set your min 4 below your prescribed pressure and see what happens. While you can adjust the min after that to best suit yourself, you will need to discuss the results with your Dr, especially if you find yourself pegged at you prescribed max a lot.
