Read the additional statement on page 91 of the clinicians manual "Autoset T soes not respond to hypopneas that are purly central in nature. Obstructive hypopneas, however, are typically associated with a concominatant flow limitation and, in response, Autoset T will increase pressure as needed." In other words the machine will likely respond to obstructrive hypopneas and jack up the pressure accordinly, all the way to 20.

Did your Dr tell you to set the machine this way? If not I would not do so. It is designed to work properly when set 4-20 according to the mfg. With your settings you are wasting much of any possible benefit of an automatic maching as your average pressure is high. Also with pressures like 12-20 without any humidifier you are going to have problems wheter you sense them or not. Talk to your DR before you make conclusions or change anything.
