If your mouth is very dry, you my be breathing through your mouth. If you are doing that, then the CPAP is not really working for you because the air is not holding your throat open but rather coming in your nose and circling out through your mouth instead of going down to your throat to hold that area open to allow you to breathe. Read some of the past postings about "MOUTH BREATHING" and "CHIN STRAPS".
