On humidity- at the pressures you are going to operate at you will need supplemental humidity. Try it. It can lower your pressures significantly. If the ambient temp is 85+ degrees with near 100% RH don't bother. Otherwise try.

Look at the printout of apneas. IF you are seeing a few at less than 20 seconds you may not need more pressure. At pressures above 12 cm of H2o mask leakage will be a big factor. Try tightening it up if necessary to see if it makes a difference.

Most important Find another DR. One who knows what he is doing. Remember, a good Dr has dedicated his whole life to knowing what is going on, and will be able to help.
