At least, that's not the way I understand it. As it's been pointed out before, hypopnea and flow limitation are not synonymous. ResMed's statement that the AutoSet T does not respond to hypopneas that are purely central in nature does not lead to the conclusion that it does respond to hypopneas that are obstructive in nature. As I understand it, the AutoSet T does not respond to hypopneas. Period. ResMed's statement that the AutoSet T does not respond to central hypopneas, though accurate, is misleading.

I have over a years worth of downloaded data from my AutoSet T that seems to support this. No central components were noted in any of my 3 sleep studies. My pressure is above 10. Though my AutoSet T records significant hypopneas every night, it does not respond to them.
