There is a place here in Australia which makes a custom maske, they somehow get a mould of your face and create a 'plate' that follows your contoure exactly, there is no 'gap' just this sort of second skin with a place tha the hose connects to to deluver and exhaust air.

I will hunt up the brochure and see if they have a web address.
