What you are describing - that it response to the shape of the curve - is that it responds to "Flow limitiations." A flow limitation is not - by any means - a hypopnea.

The AutoSet T does not respond to any hypopneas, period. If per chance the hypopnea is preceded by a flow limitation - it may respond to the flow limitation, and maybee not.

Futhermore, the AutoSet T actually responds to a score of the 5 previous breaths, and the chance of it responding to any single event are extreemly remote (it must be a huge event that completely overwhelms the scores of the previous 4 breaths).
