When you say "I was not getting enough air" are you talking about nasal congestion? Or not being able to exhale enough? Or what? CPAP eliminates the need for a UPPP and uvula removal. The uppp really REALLY hurts (excruciating) and lots of perople on this forum can tell you it does not work most of the time. I would get a second opinion from a sleep or NON-ENT doctor before letting an ENT start cutting away. ENTs make their money from cutting. Maybe all you need is a different pressure or bipap or some steroid nasal spray?
