I had UPPP & septoplasty last Oct. Total time off work for the 2, including the day of outpatient surgery was 12 days. That doesn't include the weekends. Surgery was on a Thursday, and I returned to work on the Monday, 2 wks & 4 days later. If I had pushed I could probably have gone in on the Friday, 2 weeks & 1 day after surgery, but even on the Monday I went in, I was very tired at the end of the day. By the way, per results from my Jan. sleep test, the surgery significantly improved my apnea, & reduced it to 9 events an hr. with no oxygen desaturation versus 40/50 an hr prior to surgery & oxygen reducing to mid 80's. I'd do it again, but would have preferred if I'd been able to use CPAP/BiPAP.
Good luck whatever you decide. Kevin
