As much as I hate to admit it, the last ENT I saw was (in my opinion) the best of the bunch. My personal physician new almost next to nothing about apnea, and the pulminologist (certified sleep doctor) did not and would not even give me any other options than CPAP, despite my ability to adapt to the system. The ENT was very helpful in helping me with my problems. He was the only one who sat down with me and listed all the options (including CPAP), as well as their advantages and disadvantages. The only problem is, that by the time we would have been done trying some of his solutions, with somno, septo (no UPPP) and sleep studies in between, it would have cost me somewhere around $12,000 out of my pocket.

I guess the short version of this: ENTs are like all other doctors, you get some good and some bad.

Good luck with your decision.
