I have this from time to time, but I have no idea what causes it. In my case, there are a number of chronic illnesses I have that could cause it. It comes and goes. I take a diuretic as part of my high blood pressure control, but sometimes I get swollen ankles anyway. I also have poor circulation because of diabetes, which can affect this. Sorry I cannot be of much help, but you might want to know that at least one other CPAP person has the problem. I've never suffered from it, however.
